South Sudanese voted for independence from Sudan under a peace agreement in 2011 but the world's youngest country fell into a civil war that has killed tens of thousands of people. Specially chartered planes have been taking foreign nationals out of the country since July 13. لقي 6 سودانيين مصرعهم في جوبا عاصمة جنوب السودان، وذلك خلال الاشتباكات التي احتدمت بين الموالين للرئيس سلفاكير وأنصار نائبه الأول، رياك مشار.
وأشار الأمين العام لجهاز المغتربين السودانيين، السفير حاج ماجد سوار، إلى استمرار عمليات إجلاء الرعايا السودانيين الذين يتراوح عددهم بين 70 و90 ألفا.
وتوقع سوار تجدد الصراع في جنوب السودان بصورة أكثر دموية مع احتمال وقوع إبادة جماعية لبعض القبائل، وفق ما نقلت صحيفة “الانتباهة” السودانية.
ورجح أن يرتفع عدد لاجئي جنوب السودان على حدود السودان، ليصل إلى 600 ألف لاجئ في حال استمر تدهور الأوضاع.
وأضاف أن سفارة الخرطوم في جوبا تتلقى ما يزيد عن 300 طلب لتأشيرة يومية، يطلبها جنوبيون يريدون العودة إلى السودان.
